Cleaning woes

My house needs a good deep clean. I straighten up constantly, possibly even in my sleep, but with a toddler and a full time job, I find it hard to stick to a good regiment of cleaning the tougher stuff as often as I should. I'm not proud to admit this, but seriously, being a mom, working and cleaning, something has to suffer, it's too much sometimes! So I figure it will be the shower walls some weeks and the dusty picture frames some other week. This week however, I have a new problem... bugs. I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden, we have had many new residents move in. It must be the summer weather or something. So the things I have allowed to go untouched (pile of laundry in our room, stack of books handed down to my son) that now need to be put in their place.... well I'm scared to touch them for fear of what might be hiding underneath! Horrible predicament. What to do.... what to do....

  1. I don't work and I still feel your pain of trying to balance all in a household. A shower tip: Clorox clean up. It does miracles. When my shower shows some signs of funk, after I finish showering, I spray that over the entire thing. It smells really strong, but there's no scrubbing involved. Make sure you have the fan on or window open. Also clorox tablets for the toilets. You never have to scrub them!
