Sunday Morning Breakfast

Our family typically enjoys a special breakfast on Sunday mornings. Some weeks we go to breakfast out, with either my parents or Brandon's parents, other mornings I cook a big breakfast at home.

There was a specific breakfast recipe that was always a childhood favorite of mine, that I recently rediscovered and made for my own family as my mom did for us. I am going to share the recipe with you as it is quite a treat and not well-known.

Dutch Babies
(I don't know where the name came from!)

You will need:
1 cup of flour
1 cup of milk
1 pinch of salt
1 tablespoon of sugar
4 eggs
5 tablespoons of butter

What to do: (Preheat the oven to 425)
1. Mix the flour, milk, salt and sugar thoroughly.
2. Add in the eggs one at a time, whisk until smooth.
3. Place the butter in a large glass baking dish and place in the oven until melted.
4. Use a basting brush to brush the sides of the pan with the melted butter.
5. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
*Note- The corners and sides will rise up significantly and form pretty awesome peaks. The center will be soft and slightly golden. The entire Dutch Baby will settle a little bit after you take it out of the over- this is normal.

How to serve:
Serve with lemon juice and powdered sugar, or with fruit topping or syrup. Yum!
