Tasty Tuesday: Delicious Biscuits!

While I was in South Carolina, I went with the Shearer's to a restaurant that we don't have her in Cali, Jim and Nick's BBQ. For my fellow Californians I think it is similar to Famous Dave's.

Anyway, Jim and Nick's makes these AMAZING cheddar biscuits that are sweet and buttery and delicious. Since you can't stop in to their restaurant if you're near me, you can at least try this recipe- it gets pretty darn close to the amazing little carb-packed bites of heaven I ate while in the South (er.... on the East coast? What am I supposed to say? I don't travel much- can you tell? lol)

Thanks to Easy Meals for the Working Wife for the recipe!!!

1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar *Nat's note: I decreased this from 1 cup
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup milk (2% works best)
1 egg, beaten well
4 Tablespoon butter, softened
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Mix all ingredients together. Pour into greased muffin pan and bake at 400 for 15 - 20 minutes.

This recipe make about 12 muffins.
