Taste Fresno's Tri Tip Cookoff

The more I get involved in community events, the more fun I have and the more I enjoy our great community! Before I hopped on Twitter, I had no clue so many fun things were happening in Fresno. Now, there are so many things to choose from, I couldn't possibly attend them all.

This past Saturday, Keegan and I trekked out to Kearney Park to enjoy some good company and amazing food at Taste Fresno's Tri Tip Cookoff. 6 competitors brought their A game (and their grills) to prepare their best tri-tip recipe. The tri tip was later enjoyed by the crowd and judged by several heavy hitters from Fresno culinary community. Fresno's Whole Foods store was kind enough to donate the tri tip and besides being perfectly seasoned, I will tell you that was quality meat! So good! Everyone who attended the event brought a side dish to share as well and their were some AMAZING treats! Amongst my favorites were Caroline's Creations brownie shots. (Brownies, not alcohol, just for clarification) SO good!

Final thoughts: Taste Fresno- great job putting this event together, we had a blast- well done. We are so lucky to live in Central CA where tri tip is available!

Here are a few photos from the event:

  1. Yay! I'm glad all the cute kiddies got to take advantage of the bubbles (one of my favorite parts)! This is a great post, Natali. Thanks for coming out! Next year, I expect to see YOU at the grill. Show these men how it's done!

  2. It was very cool meeting you the other day. Great pics!

...and I totally agree with what you said about Twitter and community involvement. :)
