Fresno Friday: My new favorite car wash

Red Carpet Car Wash recently opened a new "Ride and Shine" location on North Figarden Drive.  We received a coupon in the mail for a free car wash as a grand opening perk and lo and behold I had one filthy car on the day the coupon was set to expire, so on my way to grocery shop I gave it a whirl.

I've got to say, I was really impressed!  I paid nothing for my wash, but the wash level I received was their basic wash, and is normally priced at $4.99.  The car wash is automated, however as you enter the car wash "tunnel" their are two attendants who give your front bumper and windshield an extra pre-scrub with brushes (probably because of all the bugs we tend to smoosh).  Since the car wash tunnel uses a conveyor, the cars inside are moving forward at a constant rate (no waiting for the car in front of you to complete their whole wash before you can get started) the line moves very quickly.  From pay station to complete wash with three cars ahead of me, I believe the total time was about 4 minutes.

The thing I really like is that after the outside of your car is nice and clean, they have a whole bay of parking spaces with the high powered car vacuums available for your use.  Included with your wash is 5 minutes of vacuum time and their vacuums, well, they suck!  In the way a vacuum should!  Lots of power to get all of those crushed goldfish out of the cracks in my backseat.  Woot woot!

I will definitely be using this car wash again.  The wash was great, the price was great, and the vacuums really suck! ;)  Give it a try next time your wheels need a wash!

You'll definitely get nice and dry with this many dryer vents!

Vacuum bay (only a partial view- many more spaces)

  1. This is my gave too! Been going g there for a few months. The other car wash place es irritate me since they can never vacuum my monster suburban completely! Plus the kids love to help here at the ride and shine on the loop. Love it!!!

  2. Sorry I meant favorite!
