Random thoughts parading as a blog post.

Sometimes you just have to do a random, bullet-ed blog post.  This, is one of those times people.
  • I bought a home hair trimming kit and gave Keegan his first home haircut tonight.  All in all, not his best cut, nor his worst.  Kit cost $20.  I'd spend that in two of his cuts (with tip) so I'm just going to call this decision a win.  WIN!
  • My best friend had her tonsils taken out and she feels like crap and I miss her and hate that I can't make the pain go away faster for her.
  • I had to cancel a play date because my child turned into the spawn of satan earlier in the week and it was the only punishment potent enough to change him back into my normal son.
  • Spell check just told me to capitalize satan.  I get that that's his name and all, but I capitalize God or Jesus or Christ.  It feels wrong to capitalize satan to me...
  • After working INSANE hours for 7 weeks in a row- I am finding some actual free time in my life again- now I'm just trying to figure out how to use it first as I've got a lot of free time activities backed up!
  • I need to get "back on the wagon" with diet and exercise.  I'm doing SOOOOO terribly in that area.  But, honestly, I keep thinking, "What's the point one week before Thanksgiving?  Start after that... oh but then it's Christmas....".  It doesn't help that my gym is moving locations and will be considerably more difficult to get to.  Grrrr.  Someone kick me please, my excuses are pathetic!  I know this!
  • I can not WAIT to do massive amounts of cooking for Thanksgiving.  This may have something to do with the aforementioned issue...
  • I really want to buy a new fall/winter/holiday-esque candle.
  • I really wanted to do like 90% of my holiday shopping online and a great deal of that was going to be with Amazon, until the whole "Amazon is cool with selling books that teach pedophiles how to get away with their actions."  Now I'm like, "Crap. I have morals and ethics, but I really need free shipping!"  BOO!
  • After making Keegan's Halloween Costume, then spending an hour with my bestie trying to re-thread the sewing machine- I think I've FINALLY figured out how to get it to run properly, even if I have to re-thread it myself.  This is HUGE, because now I can sew stuff!  Watch-out people!  Crooked pillow case Christmas gifts are on their way!  (Kidding)
  • I'm trying to figure out if there's a better way to organize my recipes so they're easy for people to find on the site.  I'm also trying to figure this out without spending crap tons of money I don't have on site development.  (Open to suggestions for sure here!)
  • I'm currently obsessed with mini bagels broiled with butter and Dutch Brothers' Pumpkin Mochas (non fat and sugar free).
  • I'm secretly SUPER excited that the Christmas shopping season is almost here, not because I want to go all around shopping in the crowds, but because I can go to Target until 11pm!  I can arrive at 10 and enjoy peace and quiet and shop without crowds or craziness until 11.  THAT is awesome.
  • I really enjoy listening to the Dave Ramsey show on the radio.  I tend to like people who have good common sense and apply good old fashioned logic to things that tend to confuse and mystify people like money and their credit rating.
Pretty sure I've now tortured you enough.  Feel free to unload your own random thoughts in the comments section :-)

  1. Adding to our little Twitter Target convo from last night ... did you know that the Riverpark Target is always open until 11 p.m. (Monday through Saturday) and 10 p.m. on Sundays? Although I'm really not a fan of Riverpark in general, I do love the convenience of the late store hours! I hated having to go to Walmart if I needed something past 10 p.m. I wonder if this means that Riverpark Target will be open until midnight for the holidays? CRAZY. I'll have to look into this!

Oh, and with the new blogger blog design options, you could add tabs at the top of your blog, so one tab brought up all of the recipes?
