Five Faves: A.M. Allies

Five things I think are pretty darn great when it comes to getting ready for the day:

1. Aussie Instant Freeze Hairspray- best drug store hairspray I've found (thanks to Renee for telling me about it!) and is less than $4 a bottle.  Smells good, works great, all around just a great hairspray for setting your style in place.

2. St. Ives Oatmeal and Shea Butter body wash- this stuff feels GREAT.  It's gentle on my skin (I have REALLY sensitive skin) smells nice (but is not heavily perfumed) and lasts a long time.  My friend Tanya and I discovered it and couldn't resist giving it a try for just $2.97 a bottle- and now, I'm totally hooked.

3. Jergen's Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer- most people probably already have heard of this, but I really love it.  I use it daily (the light to medium in the winter and medium to dark in the summer).  I don't get really dark with it, but it keeps me from looking like Mischa Barton in the Sixth Sense- so I'm going to call that a win.  $7.94 a bottle at Target, and it lasts me about 2.5 weeks.

4. M.A.C. Fix+ mist- this spring water-caffeine-green tea-cucumber and who knows what else magical mixture instantly perks up my skin in the morning before I put on my makeup. (Think: coffee, for your face.)  I should take a before and after picture for you one of these days.  A little pricier than the other items in this list at $18 per bottle, but so worth it.

5. Earth Theraputics Loofah Complexion Pads- these little scrubbers are great for ditching the winter dry skin flakes.  I use one when I wash my face about every third day.  They're super cheap (I bought them at Ulta for $1.97 and 3 came in a pack) and it's kind of fun to watch them puff up when you first get them wet.

  1. Aussie Instant Freeze Hairspray - I saw this hairspray on the clearance shelf at Walmart and decided to try it. I usually don't have luck with Aussie products, but this hairspray is amazing! It lasts in my hair for hours not to mention adds shine. I'm not a big fan of hairspray that smells because usually they end up smelling too strong, but the smell of this one is incredible! I will actually hunt this down if Walmart has discontinued it.
