My greatest splurge purchase.

I recently purchased Urban Decay's much famed and anticipated (and also VERY scarcely available) Naked Eye Shadow Palette.

The Palette contains 12 full sized Urban Decay Eyeshadows in shades that flatter pretty much EVERY skin tone and type.  They are just completely gorgeous.  For the first time ever, I can honestly say I've found a palette in which I would consider EVERY color usable.  In addition to the 12 gorgeous shadows, you also get a Primer Potion which you apply to the lids before shadow that is really nice.  It helps the color stay put and not crease.  I was skeptical at first, because it felt a little tacky going on, but it's really very nice and my color does stay put all day.  The palette ALSO comes with a double sided 24/7 eyeliner in black and brown.  The brown shade is really nice.  I normally just line with black, but this brown is so pretty, I've been using it as much as or more than the black.  The liner glides on easily without tugging at all.

I don't remember where I first heard about the Naked palette, but I know it was before Christmas (at least a month before) but I couldn't find it in stock anywhere (in store or online) unless I was willing to pay double the retail price on Ebay since the demand was so high and supply so low.  At $44 (or $48 depending where you find it) the original retail price is hefty enough.  Value wise, for what you're getting, it's a good deal, it's just still a chunk for make-up in my budget- but it was so worth it!

So pretty!

I look like a doofus, but I'm trying to show you my shadow ;-)
Since finding it a little over a week ago, I've used the palette (and primer and liner) daily and I love combining the colors in different ways each morning.  I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who enjoys makeup and finding flattering products in convenient packages ;-) (I'm type A in all aspects, I can't deny it people!)

  3. My sister has the UD palette and I can't find one anywhere!! So I was very happy when NYX came out with their Nude on Nude palette (http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/index.php?pf=S119) I compared the colors to the UD's and they're 99% identical. It was cheaper, $25, and with 20 eyeshadows. I was planning on using the NYX until I found the Naked somewhere, but I'm so impressed by the quality that I'm sticking to this one!
The UD eye potion is worth it tho, been using it for months and love it!!
